Learning Curve

This morning, little L wanted to cut with my scissors. She’s 2.5, has little hands and I don’t recall that she’s used scissors before. So I walk her through it…

Fingers go in here.
Thumb goes in here.
You can open and close them like this.
Hold the paper here and close the scissors and you can cut the paper.

An hour later, I hear her talking to herself as she’s cutting some scraps…

Fingers go in here.
Thumb goes in here.
Open and close like this.
Hold paper here.
Cut the paper.

She remembered the sequence and instructions! Now I’m praying she doesn’t discover scissors can cut more than just paper scraps!!
